spread sprectrum?

in my bios under voltage there is a section called spread sprectrum and there are 3 setting default .25 and .50 what does this mean......i have a p3 [email protected] will this up my voltage?

Simple question, good answer. Spread Spectrum basically is meant for one main thing: lower EMI (Electromagnetic interference).
