TLDR: a LOT more paywalling and p2w

"Star Citizen is a multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game developed by Cloud Imperium Games, founded by Chris Roberts, and currently in alpha for Windows, with development ongoing since its 2012 crowdfunding campaign. Set in the 30th-century United Empire of Earth within the Milky Way, it offers an expansive open-world universe where players pilot customizable ships, engage in first-person shooter combat, trade commodities, mine resources, and undertake missions like bounty hunting, smuggling, or exploration across diverse planets and star systems. Alongside its single-player companion Squadron 42, the game features detailed lore, alien races, and careers, with recent updates in Alpha 4.1.1 (May 2025) introducing over 60 new missions, enhanced ship naming, and base-building mechanics. Known for its ambitious scope, stunning visuals powered by the Lumberyard engine, and immersive gameplay, Star Citizen continues to evolve, drawing players to its dynamic persistent universe and community-driven events like Invictus Launch Week."

Oh you've posted this particular douchebag before! :D

He's the one that started the one video by yelling off mic and then moving into the Joe Rogan position.

There aught to be a way to melt these guys into one big thing that can be easily discarded...

At any rate... can't believe Star Citizen is STILL going after all these years... and still in ALPHA!

Well, he was right back then, and he's right now so...

As he said, there is a game there, people are "alpha-testing" it (yeah even I can't say it with a straight face), but from what I've seen as long as the devs don't rock the boat or get too greedy (as just happened) it's more profitable for them to keep it that way than to actually release it.

Oh they're NEVER going to release it from Alpha... :D

I mean they've managed to keep themselves going since 2012 without even a beta in sight... so why would they ever take it out of Alpha?

I mean not even Rockstar can claim to have accomplished that!

Not even a HINT that the full game will ever see the light of day... and people keep pouring money into it.

In the annals of computer game history... this is crazy sauce.
