Start Menu Question

Well, i like how my start menu i sset up, but it is in the new style. I dont need the right blue side and was wondering if there is a way to get rid of it or maybe fully customize the original windows start menu. So is there a way to fix this. O ya, here is a pic of what I have right now:

so you only want a normal width start menu?

right click on the start button and select properties.
then tick "classic start menu".

that should do what it is you're after.

ya, i know, but that isnt what i want. I know about the classic thing, but u cant take things out and in and ur will can u? I mean in the one are were Programs and stuff is.

If this is what you are looking for:

go to start ->settings> taskbar & start menu> Click on the start menu tab then click on the customize button > then click on advanced

this will let you delete any icons in the start menu, or add any new shortcuts?
