KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!!
Hey all

well i finally go tmy mobo back from RMA... i set the hard drives to approriate jumpers and plugged em into my silicon image si 0680 RAID card... booted up the auto raid detect thing from silicon's bios showed my two drives and continued to boot from the windows xp cd rom...

I hit f6 as it told me to to select RIAD device. manual told me to put cd in thefre and click s to continue... put cd in there and windows asks for a floppy disk...hmph... no windows take my damn cd... oh well lets go to the other comp and make a floppy with the drivers...okay all set

wtf... humm after about two seconds it displays teh following message:

"file txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected Error (512) at line 1742 in d:\xpclient\base\bot\setup\oemdsk.c

Press any key to continue"

Hmph.. restart...by some grace of god this time it decides to take the cd for some reason... oh great a different error...

"File cqparray.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 3514 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\setup.c

Press any key to continue"

Of course when i press any key it brings me back to the same screen or restarts my computer...

I am soo extremely stumped.. two western digital 120 gigabyte drives, set as master and salve one is 8 meg one is 2 meg cache epox8rda+ the drives work fine...

Any help MUCH appriciated...

TIA

id start from square one.
set drives both to master and both on seperate channels
create the array
create primary partition
format

make sure ya reboot after each task.
my info may not be much help as its just the simple ideas.but i have no clue as ive never seen errors like that.
