That's odd, even with one ripped off the others ought to work fine really.
That's what I thought , but I tried them all apart from the one under the gpu and there busted, but I think this giga board has bit the dust as it is still not booting at decent fsb cold, so yet again it's stripped down and waiting for pot to defrost to finish the rest of my dice off on the msi :(
 
If you need to warm the pot up in a hurry and don't want to take a torch to it (acetone and all that), toss some hot water in. Works wonders :D

Of course you'll need to dry the thing out afterwards as water raises the freezing point of acetone. That's easy enough to do with a torch or a heater vent or a stove if you're careful.
