Sucked in, or blown away; nf-a14/f12 ippc 3000 + amd build insight

And yeah, back on topic. Pushed it to [email protected](more details, pics, numbers, findings, yada yada to be posted) with stock fans, then switched them out for the ippc 3000's. Temps dropped 10℃ on the core, socket, and vCore. 5℃ down on the coolant. So not as big an improvement from switching out the rad fans, as replacing the case fans was, but very impressive. Gonna get a sound clip too, this case sounds like its going to take off during p95 runs.

vCore 80℃ stock 70℃ ippc
Socket 72℃ stock 60℃ ippc
Core 60℃ stock 50℃ ippc
Coolant 50℃ stock 45℃ ippc
 
4790K vs 8350, depends on the software being used.
using open foam the 8350 at higher clocks is better due to the core count, open foam can use all the "real" cores you can throw at it but can't use the hyper threading of the 4790K so the through put is about 150-170% of the 4790K.
with software that can't make use of the extra cores the 4790k is the winner.
