has anyone successfully modified a super orb to fit on the kt7-raid motherboard?
currently running a thunderbird 700 at 840 (8x105). i cannot, for the life of me get it to run at any higher. 8.5x100 cannot even boot either os (linux or windows 98). only idea i have, is to cool things down. any other suggestions? thanks.

The super orb will fit pretty easily, with a slight bend of the capacitors. If you are not comfortable altering your motherboard in any way, a simple file to the base of the orb will get the job done in short order. If you really don't want to get your hands dirty the fins on the orb can be bent, remember it is only aluminum.

The link seems a little finicky, just click it a couple times it should work, and give you all the info you need.

Well, once you get that orb on there kick up the core voltage to gain stability. uping the I/O voltage will help alittle to. Just keep and eye on your temps. Also when putting on that orb be careful!! I hear they have crushed many precious cores!!! Take it slow with alittle TLC.
