whoohooo!!!!!
I feel so smart today. I just got my linux box connected to the internet though my windows 2k box.

i'd like to thank myself, enjjohn for trying to help, and the overclocking acadamy.

:D

HEHE I just got mandrake 8.2 to install nicely on a test system. Red Hat 7 sucked to install. Now all i need is a rig to use as a router then i am all set.

heh... shouldn't it be the other way around? :D

i had more problems getting W2K to let me use it as a router and share my connection than i ever did w/ linux -once i found a firewalling script- and looking at mandrake 8.2 and using bastille it looks a heck of a lot easier than it did before using linux... but congrats to you though on getting your networking up.

I got a mandrake firewall iso on a CD a few months ago, if anyone is interested. Boot off the CD I think.
