I am thinking about getting a Swiftech for my 478. Along with it I need a fan. The obvious power choice is the Delta 80mm 80CFM or the Delta 80mm 68CFM. But I am also looking at the suron 80mm 50CFM and one by YS Tech that is 80mm 48.5CFM.
Now here are my question:
1. How much more cooling should I get with the 80CFM compared to the rest?
2. Is it a worth having a Delta 80CFM at 52DBs or would it not effect performance too much if I went with the YS Tech 48.5CFM at 37DB's?
3. If I got the 80CFM or 68CFM Delta and used the Swiftech rheostat what kind of performance and noise levels would I get?
4. Would I be better off using a Alpha Heatsink if I wanted a quieter system?
5. How much of a performance difference am I looking at between the Swiftech MCX478 and the Alpha PAL8942T with the same CFM fans attached?
I know this is alot of questions, but I am just trying to make a sound decision.
My main concern is performance, but if I am going to get something that is almost as good and drop half the noise I would rather go with that. As long as we are not talking about a huge jump in cooling performance.
Thanks.
