Switching controllers?

I have an IC7-G. It came with 2 sata controllers. I set up a raid0 on one using 2 40gb hds on one of the controllers. I have xp on them now. What I want to know is: is it possible to switch my two drives over to my other controller without screwing them up?

are they different types (brands/chipsets) of controllers?
if so, then yes, I've heard of problems
if not, then it shouldn't be a problem

If they are different I would highly doubt anything working, and if it is the same it is a situation that isnt recomended. Back up anything you need before you try.

Ive changed controllers before without a problem, others have not been so lucky.
