System on the cheap :)

I think I might go shopping sometime soon for second hand worn out parts for a small server box to take the weight off my Pentium4 2.8C.

I was thinking of digging around for some cheap PC2700 and an AthlonXP 1700+ with whichever
mobo I could find and dual recycled 250W PSU's.

Would this be worth the small change?

Make sure you can get the 1700 with a good stepping code. They can be overclock to over 2.4Ghz, depending on your luck.

what kind off server do u plan on running ??

Mostly a home network server with FTP , a web server, mySQL etc
maybe a local MTA server to since it looks tiny
