I installed a new AsusA7M266/1.2 gig board without reformatting and noticed a big performance gain compared to my previous processor and board. I first used the driver CD then installed the latest 4in 1 drivers afterwards. Performance was great! But, I decided to reformat to prevent any future problems. Now the performance is terrible!! Slower than my 600E! After the(re) format, I reinstalled the latest 4in 1 drivers. Should I have done that??? Did the mobo retain the latest drivers after the format so there was no need to reinstall the latest 4 in 1 drivers?? If so, how do you uninstall the drivers and start over?? PLease help! Thanks

mmmh...

strange... I think you must have missed a few details...

did you enable dma for your HDD/CD-ROM/DVD/...? this means a hell of a performance gain
did you install the latest/best drivers for everything (not only your mobo)?
did you change anything else?

don't have any ideas left....sorry

There should be a readme file in the 4 in 1 driver setup that tells you
how to uninstall, install etc.

good luck.
