Hy guys, I wonder what is the short way your using to tun tualatins celerons (like 1.0A) on slot1 mobos, moddings to use the old fcpga2 adapters or needing a powerleap plip3 adapter... I´m just wondering if it would work in my old 6vba133 mobo (apollo pro 133 chipset) just to get a litle more juice from it :) Never seen someone doing with this chipset (693), only with 694, but... i think it works just like the other...
Just don´t want to order international to discover i need new board

Currently 6vba133 with celly600@990, cheapo adapter, 256meg of microBga pc166, 7.2krpm hd, all gold priced bought internationaly :p

i don't think it would work simply because the tualitin based cpus wont work on older sockeet 370 boards, let alone slot 1 with slot kits

Revx you can use a Tualeron on a non Tualeron board if you do some modding. People have been having trouble getting Tualerons working on the via boards. BX chipset boards and the newer intel chips seem to like the mod quite well. If you want to run it on a via chipset you will probably have to use a powerleap.

you would probably have to use the powerleap adapter but there are soldering mods that you can do with the powerleap to make it oc decently there is a post here a long time ago by Lyron telling how he did it...

Maybe this is also usefull...

Got link from the madonion Tualatin -> BX thread from Catch22atplay:

Here's something interesting http://wind.prohosting.com/jarmop/Tualatin/Tualatin.htm looks like some older slot mobos and or non coppermine mobos may need some more pin reassignment. Check that link and see if it applies to your old ancient mobo if you got one.

btw. whats the word on this mod working with ASUS S370C or S370D converters?

Thanks guys...!

I think i saw people doing with asus and IwillII too with success...

Dããr, i´m thinking my mobo is pre coppermine, beside it was the first to come with 133FSB with agp divider in the history, and that the chipset says that it can provide ~1,3+ VCore, it doesn´t say nothing about coppermines on the manual, but the 7vba133 is essencialy the same board but with ppga2 zift soket... Now I´m really confused... Dããr...

But, Until where I understood, even using the powerleap adaptor (plip3), can vid pin mod the Vcore voltage to hit 133+fsb easily, am I right?

(More hours reading needed....)

I wanna try

HMMMMM I liked the pin mod, would try, but...? Where dam buy it here in Brazil? EERgh! Wanna try in my ordinary slotcket fcpga without voltage setup, but... who needs it whe you can vid pin mod sucha clos pins!!! Off course it would be a nightmare if it doesn´t work.... Want it want it want it:cool: Want it want it want it:cool:
