Hi all! Was just wondering, does the Athlon64 boards have the same mounting holes as the AthlonXP? Because I was wondering if I would be able to utilize my D-Tek TC-4 Rev.2 Waterblock still if I get one. (If not, is there still some way I could make it work.)

I looked on Cathar's site and it appears the mounting holes are indeed different. However, you can make a conversion kit to make your TC-4 work.

Here's the info from his website. Notice this is for the cascade.

"$18 AUD - Aluminium AMD/SocketA->AMD/XP64 mounting bracket

Includes longer clamping screws, stand-off washers, and XP64 mounting bolts.

Allows an AMD Socket A Cascade block to be mounted onto any AMD Socket 754/939/940 system that provides the AMD XP64 motherboard mounting back-plate.

Includes Intel Socket 478 mounting holes, however the plate may not fit all Intel Socket 478 boards due to being larger than Intel Socket 478 standard specifications. Plate measures 100mmx75mm. "

Here's the linkage: http://www.employees.org/~slf/lrwb/

Under Cascade, click "Ordering and Pricing" then scroll down until you see the info I posted.

If Cathar still has those in stock, I think that will allow you to use your TC-4 or any other AMD XP block on the A64.

You're welcome, hope it works out. BTW, it does say it's for the cascade, but why would the cascade mout any different then any other block?
