Hi, Is there a way to monitor temperature without using shared memory ascess etc from motherboard monitor etc. Like maybe read it directly from the bios? I only know how to use visual basic and java(not expert in java but enuff to write the bits and pieces lol)

I dont know much about programming at all so I cant help you write that, but a program called speedfan is supposed to read from the BIOS. I use it and I get different readings to motherboard monitor with it. I suppose it still uses some RAM to run the program but I dont know what you mean by shared memory access. Hope thats some help.
