I just switched out my MB from a MSI board to n ABIT IC7 board.

On the MSI my load temps were like 35/36ish, now they are Mid 40's. Could it be reading the temps wrong?

Yes they are, there are alot of Abit boards now reporting improper temps and Abit has been notified. Just waiting for a responce or BIOS update.

Boards that I know of effected...BE7, BH7, IC7, possibly more. Here is a thread I had to start over at the Abit forum to get some answers, it might seem a bit harsh...but Abit has ignored 100's of posts on the temp sensors so I had to threaten a little ;)

ok cool
I just wanted to make sure because I could not figure out why my temps would jump by close to 10 degrees!
heh

Good to know as I am thinking about getting the IC7-G. Will be my first non Asus board. But I have heard and read a lot of good things about the IC7.

It is a great board.
I just got really thrown off by that temp thing. I just wanted to make sure! heh.
The features on the board are great though.
Only thing I don't like is how they mount the northbridge fan on. It doesn't bolt through the board so I can't pull it off to put my z-chip waterblock on it :(

Well, the Abit board lit up with problem posts with the IC7 boards, might want to head over there and do a little investigating first. Myself im staying away from Abit for awhile until they change a few things.

The Audigy 2 problem concerns me as that is what I would probably put in it for sound. I will definately be doing more research before I make the purchase.
