Well I went and ordered me a 1800 today for 105.
My question for the people who know better is, will the temps on this 1800 be more or less than my 1gig oc'd to 1266?
I am running 37c/39c with seti.

Chances are it will be more, but that depends on what the OCed 1gig is. Chances are, that its an athlon as well. since the whole series is notorious for heavy heat.

well what hsf are you running. shouldn't be running too hot but don't think temps will drop until .13micron chips come out.

Where did you get it for $105? Thats a good price. I'm not sure about those temps. My guess is they will be about the same or a little less. How much voltage were you pumping into that tbird? XP's are supposed to generate 10-15% less heat than a tbird.

I bought it today from Thompson's http://www.tcwo.com.
In order for me to stabilize I have my voltage is at 1.90.

I have a Golden Gate 40 with the YS-tech fan on my cpu right now. Believe it or not this little hsf cools better than my sk-6.

I've also used the golden gate, it is good but noisy. On an athlon xp1800+@1725 it was 39 idle and about 44 full load. Now I see the athlon xp 1800 for 118 on twco.
