Thinking about going to bestbuy and buying the visiontek for 399 and returning it in 25 days. Gota love the 30 day exchange policy and no restocking fee.
by then hopefully the gts pro or ultra will be at a lower price or i might just buy it again for another 30 days and again and again until the geforce 3 ultra come out
lol

Do it. Then you will have to beg ,borrow or steal to keep it because you wont want to give it back ???

That is so true! The Geforce 3 is such a good card, you will not wanna return it!

Oh yeah, and if you do go on with that plan, make sure you dont break it!

restocking fee ... nuf said

Go to BESTBUY.COM and read their exchange and refund policy and if that doesnt make you believe there isnt a restocking fee go and find and then click on the store nearest you link and enter your zip code then give them a call and ask for the COMPUTER DEPARTMENT. Then ask about the refund policy , then when the big man at the store says that you can return the item in 30 days and says thats their is no restocking fee , money back gurantee ask your momy or daddy to drive you up there if you have the cash.
lol , kids today

Be careful though, as most companys with a return's policy wuch as that have a disclaimer saying they can refuse any return at the managers dicression. I had a firend who went and bought a lot of games when he bought his cd writer and went to return them (I have no idea why :) ) but the management refused to let him and he ended up with about £150 of games he wouldn't normally have bought.

hey ME, do the right thing when you go to Best Buy for that GeForce 3. Kick one of their computer sales people in the teeth would you?
Then tell the customer they were trying to work over into a p4 1.7Gig that they can get a better rig by listening what you have to say. K?
Thank ya.

Im going tonight and let you guy know how the geforce 3 works on my old *** slot a 900 overclocked to 1000mhz

ME stop and think, it's because of people doing what you are proposing to do that compUSA no longer excepts returns except on defective merchandise.

They offer you a return trusting that you will except it in good faith.
To buy expecting to return it is a fraud and an abuse that will result in them changing their policy. No store can afford to carry intentional dead beats.

Please don't mess this up for the rest of us.

I bought one last Tuesday, open box at $359, and it died yesterday. Called them up, one in stock...also an open box, for $349. Traded it in and got $10 and change back. No more of the lockups I was having, card must've been defective the whole time.

Best Buy rules...

I must admit I have used the return policy of shops before. I have bought a couple of games and returne them, one was when I first bought my pc and I read the min specs and my pc was moer than up to the task, yet the playstation version ran much better so I returned it and bought the playstation version. Another game I returned because I though it was crap and I even said that when they aked me why I was returning it which didn't bother them as they say 'you can return it for any reason' so if that reason was that you only wanted to try it out and now want to return it then thats their problem.

Well i went to best buy and bought the pro 64 ddr geforce 2 for 250 and i installed it and now my sound card dosnt work. The card is made by PNY and im going to bring it back soon, I liked the performance and the visuals are awsome in quake 3. I think i might order the geforce 2 64 ddr by leadtek for 170 at newegg.com and freeshipping. or i might even get the ultra. I think i need to totally reinstall windows because my old voodoo drivers are messing things up. I uninstalled everything and even upgraded and reinstall direct x 8.0a and then 8.1 and my sound card is still not working, I dont know but if still dosnt want to work after the reinstall then i guess PNY or even leadtek cards might not work with my ISA soundblaster 64. I have no clue

I've used the return policy of EB (electronics botique......a local software retailer) on a few occasions. Their policy.........if you don't like it for any reason.......return it within 10 days for refund or exchange. I've seen a few games that had cool boxes, and wanted to see if the game was as cool. The one's I liked or figured friends would, I kept.

Fortunately for me no one is taking advantage of this store. I can still "demo" anything I wish.
