Well, Jasmine Chen at Abit finally sent me the new TH7II 38 bios. But the problem is, i have no freaking clue how to install it. It didn't come with a tool or instructions, just the little chip. I remember reading that there is a special tool you need and that the chip will be ruined if a screwdriver is used. Does anyone know of this tool and where it can be purchased? Or am i totally screwed?:(

Well i run into this problem too and i could find nowhere to buy the tool. So i used my nail scissors carefully lifting up the old BIOS on each side and it the end it popped up, Voila.
by the way the tool is called an "extractor"

Based on enigma's comment, i looked up the Bios savior. I found the manual and from the pictures, i discerned that i needed a PLCC square extractor. Thanks in part to radioshack.com, i found the extractor that i needed. It "only ;)" costs 9.99. But i think i will pay the ten bucks instead of risking destroying the chip with a pair of scissors.
here is a link to the extractor if you care.

why does the bios chip need to be replaced?

Probably because he baught a TH7II mobo with a Woody P4 and the board still had an old bios version which didn't recognize the Woody. So no boot. No boot, no flash. No flash. No support. No support No boot. HEY! I've said that already.:D
