I tried overclocking my P41.5 to 1.6. I am running an Abit TH7II-Raid. I wanted to start off slow since i am new to overclocking. I set all the warnings to off, and set the softmenu to "User Define" then upped the multiplier up to x16 from x15. But when i restart it still says the processor is 1.5Ghz, 100x15. What am i doing wrong? If anyone will help me i will be very appreciative.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The multiplier is locked. No way can you overclock a P-4 that way. You have to raise the FSB (CPU operating speed) with the "user define" settings to do that. I'd maybe try 110 MHz, that would give you a nice overclock of 1.65 gig. More than that will probably require better cooling and maybe a slight boost in voltage.
