I'm about to buy this board, so far the reviews are good. Anyone got any opinions?

yep its one bad *** matx mobo btw thanks for posting that other mobo, i was looking for something for a phenom :)

there was a nice article at Anandtech yesterday about how the AMD 780G chipset has better integrated graphics than the Intel G35, but it all depends on what you plan on actually using the computer for and if you already have a intel proc are looking to drop in or if you are open to buying amd.

this is the article: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3258 and this is the mobo they reviewed: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128090

oh yeah, does it OC ?

Cool. Thanks guys.
Now another question,
This "new" build, I plan to leave running 24/7 on a cabinet shelf.
The components are as follows:
Quadcore 2.4ghz stock q6600
The asus mobo above
8gigs DDR 800 ram (4 modules)
1x 74gig Raptor, 1x 750gig Segate
XFI
Geforce 8600GT
530Watt B-Tarantula powersupply

How much will the power bill be if I just leave it running 2x folding clients? $20?

This case will NOT have a floppy drive or dvd rom drive (I will connect external ones WHEN I need to...but that is like rarely)

Agreed. Get a more energy efficient PSU. A couple years ago the market sort of developed an "80+"% efficiency standard that you should look at.

HUH? It has an 86%+ efficiency rating.... and is also labeled as "green".....

With the discontinuation of the GA-G33M-DS2R (RIP!) that Asus board is pretty much the best. If you can hold off a week or so, look into the GA-Q35M-S2. It's just being released now, it seems, and should stack up well.

a antec EA500 is a good starting point for a psu.... depending on when your buying the you may want to wait/look at the G43/G45 based boards.

Gigabyte has an annoying habit of discontinuing products...they did it with the 965p-dq6 and the p35-dq6.
With the Q35, I don't think it will stack up against the ASUS flagship mATX board.

Will 8gb of memory and the raptor benefit the folding any? If all you are going to use it for is folding you should scale it down some.
