Which system do u guys reckon is the best,
in my opinion PS2, win hands down, from a hardcore gamers point of view like myself, and x-box comes last, due to lack of decent titles, and other such details a really poor system,
meaning gamecube in @ 2nd place 4 me :D

1. Playstation 2
2. Gamecube
3. X-Box

1st is x-box?? how u work that 1 out, its playability is terrible, and its rooster of games is a disgrace they hav: Halo, and, let me think nothin else worth mentioning...

Oh boy, another gaming thread that belongs in the debate forum :D. Unreal Championship is comin soon, and that should be decent. I also enjoy tony hawk 4, dead to rights, rallysport challenge, hunter the recoking. Theres a lot of fun ones. How many xbox games have you played? My opinion is educated as I have clocked up at least 30 hours on each console :D

a few, i hav a mate that owns 1,
i've played rallysport challenge, tony hawk 4, halo, obi-wan, onimusha 2, a surfing 1, uhh, project gotham racing, world cup 2002, etc so a few, and as i said once its playability is terrile, ok it has the power, but nothin else, not what is REALLY NEEDED!

graphics don't suck, not as good, ok, but they arnt bad.....

I have played about 20 hours on Tony Hawk 4 on ps2, and much much more (sad huh) on xbox. The graphics are better on xbox, but a little harder to get used to controls. If I had a choice bewteen owning xbox and tony hawk 4 and no other games, and ps2 and tony hak 4 and no other games i would chose the xbox. I must be one of the few that isnt bothered by xbox's controller (i use the old bigger one too, not the s-controller). It seems to fit my hands perfectly :). Another thing is ps2 doesnt have any good fps's that I know of. Just my thoughts dont flame me  lol.

I have a GC and I dont like it because most of the games are made for 8 year olds. Plus I like to play RGP's on console's, and GC is lacking in that department badly...

How about, whatever the flying F I feel like playing? PS2 has Frequnecy, Xbox has my list below, the Gamecube has Mario Sunshine, and the PC has GTA3 along with UT and The Sims Unleashed, all of which I play on a regular basis.

Gee, lemme think.

Spyhunter
Cel Damage
Fuzion Frenzy
PGR
Wreckless

Just to name a few of my favorites.

Kickass visuals do *not* make a good game on their own.

There is no "best" system, and Xbox/PS2/Gamecube/PC/whatever fanboys (such as yourself) digust me.

have you played the splinter cell demo on xbox?

W00t! it OWNZ!

plus you got brute force coming.

And Xbox live THIS MONTH!

I'm not saying that one particular system is the best, but what really annoys me is when someone says the gamecube only has kiddy games:mad:   I read this complaint all the time whenever there is an argument about what system is the best. In responce to this I wont use Resident Evil/Eternal Darkness (which are both great games) as examples of why the gamecube is not a kiddy system. Sure most of the games do not have excessive amounts of blood/violence but why do we play video games? GAMEPLAY, gameplay is everything, it may look pretty but the game might suck. Who cares about graphics when the game is boring, DOA3 is one example that comes to mind (let the flaming begin).

I completely agree with you. The reason I put gamecube at 3rd is because of the games I have played, (pikmin, mario sunshine, supersmash bros. and a football game [dont remember which one]) I didnt enjoy as much as ps2 and xbox. I hate it when people shrug off a system without actualy playing it because of a dumb reason. Like when people say ps2 is better than xbox because the xbox controller is big. LOL.

I'm so sick of the this system is better than than that system. I like going to the gamefaqs forums and almost everyone there is a freaking troll and most act like 8 year olds that can't afford to have all the systems so the just bash the systems they dont have for stupid reasons like "gamecube is all kiddy and sux" "m$ sux" . They all have strengths and they all have their weekness. I own a dreamcast, ps2, and xbox and have played a few gamecube games and I really can't come up with a clear cut winner so...

[ps2] - People always say it has such a great list of games but once you sort through the list of "on ps2 only" games you only come up with a few must haves and mostly mediocre rental games. I just fail to see all these so called great games the system has. With games that are on both the xbox and the ps2 I'll will most likely always go for the xbox version (exept for need for speed just because they messed up the xbox one bad) There are a few stand out games that make the ps2 look really good but for the most part the textures are laughable. Playing the gamecbe and xbox or pc for a week straight really hammers this opinion in. AND GOD DO I HATE MEMORY CARDS SO STUPID !!! WAY TO EXPENSIVE AND WAY TO SMALL!!! and you have to buy a 30 dollar adapter to play with more than 2 people. With all the downs it still has some great games that are on my top 25 of the last 5 years. The main selling point of the ps2 is squaresoft. I know so many people that bought the ps1 just to play FF7. Than after such hits as FFtactics , Xenogears, Vagrant Story FF8 and 9, and chrono cross these same people I know are now diehard squaresoft fans so they naturally bought the ps2 hoping for the same thing. Ack and how could I forget about grand theft auto if microsoft would of nabbed this title as xbox only this could of resulted in a million xbox unit sales. Just last week 2 of my friends bought a ps2 and vice city! Word of mouth goes a long way and sony knows this and they use it to their advantage but still the ps2 is really a hype machine because if anyone remembers how bad they were hyping the so called "emotion engine" and making it sound like the end all greatest thing it the world they were just a "tad" off.

[dreamcast] - to bad this thing didn't get support from a big rpg company or a sports company like ea because this sucker had some of the most enjoyable games I have played in the last 5 years. The jump from playstation1 to this beast was huge its just to bad sega had the worst commericals for it and medicore 3rd party development. Playing online right out of the box was a huge plus. The memory cards did seem really really small though since you could fill a whole one up with just one sports game save :(

[gamecube] - The nintendo first party games I have played are really quite fun all nintendo really need to do is grab a few more good exclusive 3rd party games and they could pull ahead a bit but I really really hate that controller. For fighting games and action/sports games it becomes a "stupid pad" it just isn't right at all. If you were going against an equal apponent in capcom vs snk2 and the opponent had a ps2 pad you would be screwed.

[xbox] - Yes the graphics are nice, yes it has a harddrive for easy saves, yes the regular controller is a tank and designed by huge ogre hand dullards, yes its never going to sell well in japan unless microsoft buys enix or square. What I don't get is people bashing this system because it doesn't have as many stand out games as the ps2,,,,,,, well no s@#t its only been out for a year and the ps2 has been out for a couple of years!! I mean do these people remember the first year of the ps2???? Well I do and it sucked so bad I was going to sell mine because all I did was play dreamcast all the time. The ratio of good games to medicore games is about the same on all the systems. The same people that say the ps2 has so many good games easily forget the countless crap games I have rented and hated. If graphics alone would king a system than this system would be wearing the crown but they don't to most people. As with gamecube the system is one freeking year old so the number of good games isn't going to be mind blowing but both still have better games than the ps2 did its first year. The thing I'm most worried about with this system is the lack of sales in Japan. It scary to think that the dreamcast could out sell the xbox even though its a dead system but because of a total lack of games that interest the Japanese culture in the first year i can see why it sold so bad.

There is a reason for the termanology "power gamer"

Power....XBox has it + that nifty built in HD & ethernet card.

Although, EQ for PS2 looks pretty damn good. Too bad you need to buy the PS2, then the online hook up box thing and then the game. $250 for PS2, $50 for the game and then what $50 for the online modem/HD thing?

$350 is a bit much no matter how cool the PS2 EQ looks.

PS2 is by far the best. The games kick butt and if Vice City was the only game it had it would still be the best thing ever. I own 5 of them (only paid $100 a piece) and plan on giving them to my nieces and nephews for Xmas.

Gamecube is has like 50 games and most of them are like the same thing. Sonic, Mario, Yoshi.....this gets very old.

Xbox has great graphics but terrible games. Games are everything for a good system.
