The fable Radeon 9800 non-pro at Circuit City...

(Tried doing a forum search on this and haven't found any, so please forgive me if someone has already posted about it and delete this post.)

I remember Circuit City doing a great deal with Radeon 9800 np for 200. So one day I decided to head up there and see if they have it. Nope sold out. Only thing they have is a Radeon 9600 pro 256mb for 200 .

So did anyone luck out with this video card and managed to buy one? I'm interested to know because I know CC sells them, but I haven't seen anyone managing to buy one! It's like a legend of gold treasure almost.

lots of people bought them. No legend or fable. They sold them out b/c they arent going to sell them any more. So no more 9800np's. No legend, just a good deal and they went fast.

That sucks. CC never told me they weren't selling them again after being sold out. Ah well, guess I'll just get the geforce. Thanks for the info though. I was planning to go back and be a fool.

I got one, its listed in my sig and I am very happy to say the least. From what I understand almost all of the ones sold had good o/c's.

I too managed to snag one of these great cards. Mine even came with the Samsung 2.86ns RAM that is used on the 9800 Pro . It has been a great experience so far.

I think it's been going on for about a month now. I heard word of it in late November. I"m not sure though.

There might be some left. There is only one way to find out...

Its over actually. It was one of the weekly CC specials they have. CC was trying to sell them off to get rid of stock so it wont be back.

Yeah I got in on this deal also BUT I had CompUSSR price match it.
Those ppl over there obviously did not look at that at too closely because I got the 9800PRO for the 199.xx plus local tax..
