The new Geforce experience "Shadowplay" layout is confusing to me. Can you help?

I use shadowplay a lot but now this "share" crap has me confused as hell.

How and where do I adjust the options to just record my ingame footage?

All it's wanting to do is desktop recording which is using a lot of space that's not even in game.


I'm only wanting it to record when I'm in game automatically and hitting alt+F9 is annoying as I just want it running full shadow mode without picking up my desktop prior to me starting game.


The old layout was so much easier to navigate


I've googled the hell out of this but I can't find just a straightforward post telling me how to do this and many others have complained about this.
