That is the ONE AND ONLY reason why I didn't go. My gf new I would max out my CC (has $6500 credit line and only $800 used so far), and she also told me it was a bad idea to go. I was 99% sure I would be ringing up another item that would have been rejected for maxing out card.

pny 512mb flash drive from bb
leather gloves from sears
panasonic phones from cc

i didnt see any point in waking up that early since there wasnt anything worth buying so i went at 9. i was driving by my best buy at 11:30 lastnight after a party and there were already people waiting in line. crazy.

Ahh, woke up around 8:30am.
Put on homer simpson slippers (cold feet)
Finished up a bit of my re-install on my main computer.
Watched Hulk on TV.
Made a sandwich from leftovers.
Checked Folding stats.
Took a look at this thread.
Checked my account balance and smiled.
Going to go make some green tea in a bit.

200gb hard drive from staples for 30 ar
512mb usb drive for 20 ar

bf deals and i didnt have to move more than 6 steps to buy them

ditto!

also my dad got the netgear 108mbp router with a laptop card for $30 AR

probably not worth getting up at 5am, but we were gunning for the $997 plasma at WalMart. Turns out they only had 4.

Seems this years BF was a bust...

It doesn't seem like there were that many great deals this year compaired to past BF's.

I went to Walmart to get a gba.. What a mistake. They formed a line for electronics that wrapped 1/4th of the store. Didn't even bother.

I believe you could have bought that plasma from Walmart's website. It was an in-store and on-line deal. Anyway, it's ok. I'll bet within six months you'll start to see regular sales on 42" plasmas get into the 1k range.

-edit
Last year I bought a Daewoo plasma for $1500 on black friday. This year I had to work and have no money, so I got nothing and liked it :(

Headed off to CompUSA right now to pick up a Hitachi 160GB SATA for $19.99 AR that my buddy pulled off the shelf for me when he went into work this morning. :D

Almost all of the CompUSA Two-Day sale items can be ordered online. I got the Hitachi SATA HDD and a bunch of other stuff online. No driving or waking-up early for me.

someone tried to pick pocket me while waiting online this morning at 5am, and i gave him some sweet chin music... but no good deals

it was more of a crowd than a line, very tightly packed
