Fry's Electronics at 2am. Line was already long wrapping around the warehouse, no parking at all, parked like 20 minutes away.

Got 3 Hitachi 80GB 7200rpm hard drives for $50-$50MIR. Limit one per customer but who cares. PNY 512mb USB Thumbdrive for $20. Olevia Syntax 27'' LCD TV $600. Wireless keyboard/mouse $10. No good memory stick deals though..

got up about noon, took the girlfriend to work, drove down to compusa and picked up a saitek keyboard for 20 after rebates

drove down to best buy grabbed a 120gig seagate hdd for 29.99 after rebate, a 512 jump drive for 19.99 and a mx1000 for 53.99.

ok guys,

i convinced my aunt to take me to fry's at 11:45am and this is what i got

padded notebook case for my laptop - $19.99
generic wireless kb and mouse - $9.99
hp 3847 colorjet printer - $19.99
160gb firewire/usb ext hdd - $39.99 after rebate
60gb usb(what i wanted for bf)laptop ext hdd - $79.99 after rebate

guys i'm happy, the laptop ext. hdd is what i was looking for because its small light and is powered from the usb port :) :) :) . i've been doing alot of spyware/virus removal and this will come in handy because i can load all of my utilities and apps on it. i'll still carry my discs as back up in case there's os or mobo incompatibility issues.

went to compusa after and all the good stuff was gone, went to walmart and that laptop was gone.

i'm happy though :) i hope i can collect on the rebates.

6:45 make it back to car, mom smacks me in the back of my head.

7:00 get home, mom smacks me in the back of my head

7:03 check my rig(currently cpu-burn'ing)

7:07 (right now) post my miserable experience

Just got back from the beautiful blackness of friday.

Went to compUSA, scored! I ROBBED TEH PPLACE!

Sweet Logitech Keyboard and Mouse wireless lx500!!! 20$! (w/mail in rebate)
Pimp Altec Lansing Speakers. 2.1 for 49.99 (AWSOME, huge upgrade from the harmon kardons my old dell came with!!!)

<3 Black Friday

4:00 am - Woke up
4:30 am - In line at my local Fry's location
5:00 am - Ran like crazy through the store.
5:01 am - Grabbed the X2 3800+ ECS A939 Combo (advertised at $279 USD, no rebates required!)
5:02 am - Free 200CD case AR
5:03 am - iPod Shuffle 512MB for $69 and Creative MuVo 128MB for $17.99
5:04-6:30 am - Realize I don't have money for AMD dual core setup of any kind... depressed. Bought Shuffle.
6:50 am - Circuit City. Bought SanDisc Sansa m240 1GB MP3 player/FM Tuner w/ free accessories $69.
9:00 am - Returned Shuffle unopened to Fry's.
9:10 am - Nabbed Audigy2 ZS Gaming Edition for $19.99 AR
9:30-10:30 am - Denny's breakfast and the thoughtful realization that I needed more money for a Black Friday to be a truly grand adventure.

Dash it all, how I wanted that X2!

Not much luck today on what I wanted. Though I got a few things

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory- 10 bucks at BestBuy(30 at Walmart so good deal)
56k Modem - 5 Dollers after rebates from OfficeDepot
New Desk - 80 bucks after 50 doller instant savings

I really needed some ram but I guess Xmas is close enough anyway.

Left at about 5am, got coffee, was first in line at officemax, maybe about only 100 people at opening.

epson stylus cx3810 3 in 1 printer and DXG 5mp camera - $69.99 after $80 rebates
toshiba 512mb SD card - $20 after $28 rebate
belkin power strip - free after $2.50 rebate
memory card reader (got wrong one, CF not SD :-() - free after $10 rebate
1GB usb 2.0 thumb drive $40 no rebates

so the printer, camera, and 512mb for it come out to about $90 + sales taxes, not bad even though is a low end camera. Newegg price for camera is $99, $50 AR for printer, and $20 for 512mb card.

worked 9-3 at my job [NOT retail, thank god]

realized that the only ish I would have bought is stuff I didn't really want and/or need

realized I scored money today [work] rather than spending it

smiled

The laptop for $378 is SLOW! 256 RAM, 1.6 CPU and integrated video... I am gonna sell it on ebay. Trust me that HP laptop is a lightweight basicly no fans on not a PC more like a PDA. Sorry didnt sleep today, so bad spelling...

Off topic, but I just noticed your sig. That 3.0ghz Prescott runs at 85c?! You should work on cooling, that's way to hot.

Eastern time:

Woke up at 5:30AM.
I went out with a friend of mine, went to Kohl's (6:00AM), didn't find anything. Went to bestbuy, noticed a lot of decent deals but none were worth waiting in line for an hour or so for, so went over to Old Navy by around 6:45AM, waiting to get in around 7 (with a whole bunch of cute girls and middle-aged women) so basically the men's section was to myself and my friend and random girls getting stuff for their bf/husband I am assuming. A ton of stuff was on sale for $10 so I got some shirts and a sweater etc. Left after spending $50 (handed a $10 off to the first 50 or so customers, so mine would have been $60).

Went to CC, didn't find anything cept for some good cheap dvds, but wasn't going to wait in line again for an hour or something to buy $20 of DVDs that I could *cough* make backups of from friends.

So, was it worth it? Yeah, sorta, but I guess I have to be better prepared next year and have some more money saved up. It was hard going into the day with about $150 to spend on everything.

Didnt do a lot of shopping becuase there wasn't really anything I really wanted plus I had to work.
Woke up at 6:30am
Added the 200GB Maxtor HD for 30$ and the Uniden 5.8ghz phone for 30$ to my cart online, checkout, got ready, went to work...

Got the Antec P180 for $99AR at CUSA. Wanter the 9.99 Bluetooth headset but it was gone when I got there (2:30am). Replaced my old Chieftec case with the Antec, I love the P180. Now I just need to replace my 92mm Tornado on my XP-90 and I will have a somewhat normal sounding computer...............

woke up around 11ish
went to best buy
marveled at line of 200 people waiting for checkout.
picked up Cheapy Insignia Car CD/MP player with free cheapy dual 5 1/4" speakers for my 1994 plymouth aclaim.
went to digital media and bought the 512 for $19AR

Much to my chagrin they forced me to check out at digital media because they don't want the memory cards disapearing.

added car stereo to the media card and paid for everything with no wait what so ever.

walked back past the line of 200 people waiting an hour to check out (priceless)

total time in best buy. 9.27 minutes
