ThemoEngine by thermosonice, Max Load temps are 50C

Im curious, I bought a Themo Engine hs/f by themosonice.
Well it works okay, Max load temps for my 1.2 Athlon at 1470 are 50C, According to Sisoft, I cant get VIA hardware monitor work on this Asus A7V-133...
I took off teh crappy fan that came with it cause its just scouldnt psuh enough air, so Now I have my EverCool 7000rpm on thier and load temps are down from 55C...
But an Idle of 45C is still to high for me, Even after I started overclocking it it the temps didnt change...50C is still max load.
I have good themal paste on the chip and I have the heatsin seated properly...

Is the the performace I should expect from it?

Those temps seem kind of high. Assuming that the thing is installed properly, you may need better airflow through your case.
What's your case temp? I used to run a Thermoengine and delta fan on a 1.33ghz athlon @ 1.50ghz and I don,t think I ever got over 40c under load at ambient temp 22c.

I bought one of those heatsinks after reading all the hype, & was very dissapointed at the results I got. My readings were 50C at idle for a 1 Gig Athlon, sold it on to a friend at work, he used it on a Duron, it was better suited for that.
