Wondering if anyone knows, or knows how to find out, what the thickness of the thermal pads used on the copper plate heatsink of the GPU is in an ASUS ROG G50V laptop. Gonna order a new set but don't want to get em too thick or too thin.

EDIT: A google search pulls up a CNET article with specs of that laptop having a GeForce 9700M but it looks like all the replacements online that have the die oriented correctly are advertised as 9800M's. I will have to actually look at the die tonight to see what it truthfully is. I'm currently troubleshooting the screen not working but i figured while i had it open, i would clean it up. HOLY DUST CLOUD. and the tim was dry. Like, hard and crumbly. Hopefully it's not fried.
