LINKUP has some interesting options, like the metallic/teflon series. I have some of their extension kits, and all work fine. LINKUP also manufactures risers and other cables for brands like Lian-Li.

From cheaper brands, you can find AsiaHorse on Amazon. I'm not sure how it looks with all their products, but I'm using their extensions in one of the test rigs, which are pretty good quality. I also couldn't find other brand extensions that would be white with white connectors.

... and your question made me order brownish (classic Noctua look) AsiaHorse extensions for the new build

oh well ;( I got the 24pin for now I will figure the gpu later... still waiting on the m2's to arrive anyway so no rush.

but weirdly the male connector didnt look like the same as the one I have, the female side did look right.

All popular 650W+ PSUs have 4+ 8-pin power connectors, and these extension cables can be 300mm+, so you can hide everything on the back. If you don't want to use the standard one that comes with the PSU then get one of those 3x 8-pin which cover 600W cards.

I will be using the one that comes with it, I am just unsure it will reach the GPU as I was looking it might be slightly short by few millimeters sadly and I might need to extend it as well and I would rather not have to waste 4 power slots to extend it.

As I understood https://linkup.one/linkup-ava-16pin...d-copper-teflon-high-temperature-jacket-30cm/ this would be the one that would extend the 600w that comes with my PSU. No black thou sadge...

if I dont use that then I would have to use 4 power slots to equate the 600w and use the linkup on the psu and the psu on the other end as the extendable one.

I just dont want to unmount the GPU right now to figure it out since I dont have all the parts to swap yet they are still arriving, so I will have a better position of things on August 1st when I get everything

so the 24pin extension just arrived and I resumed mounting everything... this is what it looks like right now and I wonder if the pump tubes as they are is fine or if I should try placing it differently?

Also can I plug the rgb to the block rgb? they both have male and female connectors so I assume I could plug one to the other and only have to plug the block one to the motherboard rgb connector? 20240802_141518.jpg

Post magically merged:

So basically this is what I did with the rgb, hopefully that is right and OK. The block rgb goes to motherboard, the female rgb connector receives the radiator fans connector.

I am still fixing some cables like that sound cable down there is now coming from behind so its completely hidden.

Looks good! Clean!

If you want, that front panel audio can probably route below and pop out so that wire is hidden. :)
yeah that is what I did haha :p or rather what I meant by what I said above, its exiting from that hole there now 1722624169235.png so u only see a lil bit.

The repeater that have all the case fans plugged, I plugged to the sys_fan3 hope that is ok 1722624217883.png

Well everything worked on the first try nothing blew up yet... :p

The GPU cable was just able the distance without forcing the cable or doing any hard curves.

Now on to the tedious part of installing everything, thanks everyone for all the help, knowledge shared, and hopefully I will be able to give some back at some point ;)

mmm I am a bit worried I might have screwed up installation of the water cooler block in the cpu+thermal paste the max temp is weirdly spiking and seems not normal any should I redo it?

for the thermal paste I went with an X mark and a few dots in between, screwed it slowly one side then the other alternating until it was tight.

the small video is realtemp red is max cpu temp and blue is cpu core 0 https://streamable.com/vd3ijt

And this one is from MSI Center https://streamable.com/55hjum

These temps where when I was doing absolute nothing I had only 2 browser open and discord in on of them nothing else.

sorry about the links apparently I cant post videos and I am unsure of what is the goto site for posting videos these days.

I could also think of the thermal paste being bad as well, it was a thermalright TF7 that came with the water cooler but it was kind solid usually its not as solid from the ones I've used.

What should I be looking at and should I maybe get a new thermal paste?

That's not absolutely nothing, lol.

It's normal to see some spikes.. especially if you have stuff open.
well to spike to 50~66? seems way too much no?

my other pc stays on 30~35 on the same scenario but is a 8700k

alright, so anything I should keep an watch for just in case?

The extensions I mentioned some time ago just arrived. AsiaHorse brand isn't very popular, but they are available on every Amazon and are pretty good quality (I have white ones on another PC). I don't know if you think about a graphics card or the full set. The 12VHPWR cables are almost only black or white. I have the AsiaHorse working with my RTX4080 for some long months without issues.

I don't think you have to worry about anything. Spikes are normal, even up to 80°C+, as the OS picks single cores for background tasks, and even if you think it does nothing, then it actually does something that loads these cores up to 100% for a short time. Check Windows task manager and you will see how many things run at the same time.
