Thermalright core matrix for 12900K

The extensions I mentioned some time ago just arrived. AsiaHorse brand isn't very popular, but they are available on every Amazon and are pretty good quality (I have white ones on another PC). I don't know if you think about a graphics card or the full set. The 12VHPWR cables are almost only black or white. I have the AsiaHorse working with my RTX4080 for some long months without issues.


I don't think you have to worry about anything. Spikes are normal, even up to 80°C+, as the OS picks single cores for background tasks, and even if you think it does nothing, then it actually does something that loads these cores up to 100% for a short time. Check Windows task manager and you will see how many things run at the same time.
Thanks for the info on the cables... I was able to use the one I had without issues by going under the motherboard, I wasn't sure if I would have the right length but it all worked out for GPU so I only needed the motherboard 24pin which I got from LINKUP and its all working nicely.

Yeah the temps were off just the first day... now its all within 25c avg while doing what I mentioned above and only spikes up with games or heavier apps.
