I just ordered the subzero 4G for my home office because I'm tired of my "80mm Tornado" giving me a headache even on a medium setting via rheostat--the price has FINALLY fallen abit-- the retail is supposed to be $149 but I saw it as high as $195 just 3-4 weeks ago on pricewatch.. I ran into it when ordering a bunch of supplies at www.bestbyte.net for $133 with $5 shipping for the ENTIRE order!!!, I'm sure its far from the performance of the "Race CAR" rigs that most people have but for myself with 4 Overclockers SETI rigs going, I can't have every system at 55db, my wife and kids have a hard enough time calling me up for dinner---nice to have at least 1 quiet system...

Please either post or email me a review of it when you get it and see how it is. I am thinking about getting one, but I don't know anyone who has it. Thanks!!!

Well I guess the sky is falling ---in price--- I'll post on this thread how I like the unit when I set it up--probably the end of next week-- If the price keeps falling it will become more attractive

I know, they are becoming much more attractive. I am just looking for something that will be quiet because I keep playing with the idea of taking my desktop to college with me, and I would need something pretty quiet if I do. Right now I am planning on just taking my laptop. If I go with the desktop, I probably will have to buy a LCD as well because I hear the desks at my future school are small (guess which school that is). Please let me know what you think.

Desks are small but 80mm tornados are load---Hmm-not much in common but, If its as quiet as I think it will be the only thing I'm going to hear are my Standard 40CFM 80mm case fans blowing in and out of the case... Heck in a couple of months they'll be giving it away for probably $99 with free shipping no less...
I really like the idea of having an easy setup and not needing a second power supply--some of us just like it simple--not necessarily the COOLEST cooler but simple and quiet...

Yea, I know they don't, lol. What I was going for is the fact that I really can't take a noisy computer to college because though I am used to it, my roomie may not approve. If it was quiet though, and had good cooling, I may consider it however, you see?

Speaking of noise--its a bit off topic but you can buy noise cancelling heatsets--I have one made by sony and it helps block out the outside noise when listening to music .. worked great on the plane and even helped while cutting the grass--something a college student just might need...

hey CV have u actually ever used anything of Tt's? The SubZero4G isnt the best peltier system out there (duh), however it does do what is promised, which is offer an ambient temp, silent, and condensation/water-free system. Not everyone has the money for our expensive WC systems, or peltier systems. Tt is good for novices starting to learn more about their PC.

Kyle

Tt's stuff is... well... marginal at best. That's what most will say around here and around the world.

I've used a lot of their stuff before, and haven't been impressed with it. IT's something not even a beginner should be equipped with - rather low quality workmanship and less than expected performance.

This pelt system will be overwhelmed by a modern proc - a peltier is only good as long as the processor wattage does not exceed its. And an "expensive" custom system can often be assembled for the price of a tt product or less.
