I getting really really mad about this situation, one of the pins on my moniter hook up are loose. My moniter turns green almost everyday and I have to fiddle with the cable. Can I fix this? I can't send it back because I'm already over my warantee. Oh, I have a 19in Viewsonic E90F. Just tell me the cold hard truth what can I do about this moniter............

you can get a good pair of wire cutters and cut the cable and splice in a new VGA connection. I've done it before and it works fine if you know what you're doing.

Is your whole monitor cable detachable? If not then you're pretty much limited to splicing the cable. Or replacing it all the back inside the case.

On a side note for those looking at new monitors - detachable cables can be handy.
