I swear man... I'm followin ya :D

Depends on the price... I wouldn't pay more than $75 on it... where as for $75 you could get a Radeon 7500 that outperforms the GF2... the 7500 is comparable to the GF2 Ultra. Might also want to take into consideration what kind of an upgrade this would be for you... what vid card you have now in comparison. And what the machine its going in would be used for.

I think the 7500 isn't all that in raw performance. But it does have great features like dual monitor support and high resolution TV-out. Honestly, Geforce 2 Ti's can beat Geforce 2 Ultras when overclocked... on average anyway. And they (Ti's) come up with nearly 1000 more 3dmarks than 7500's... overclocked and on average in the same type of systems. I think the 7500 is more on par with a Geforce 2 Pro in FPS.

I just took a Leadtek GF 2 pro gts 64 ddr out of my machine to put in the radeon 8500 128 ddr. The Leadtek was awsome for what I did with it. Only reason I took it out is to put it in my second gaming machine to replace the GF 2 mx 400 64 meg.

Oh boy another debate, lol, the 7500 in many tests say it is comparable when overclocked to a Ultra. he 7500's are in the 6000 range some in the low 6000's and some in.

This is interesting

Here is another example of a system very similar to my own and the 3D mark2001 score , my system running a 7500 the other a G2 Ti200 or Pro card, as you can see they are almost identical.

So I do not see where you are saying that G2 Ti200 score more than a 1000 over a 7500. The top G2 Ti200 @ Mad Onion running a AMD Athlon at 1566 scored 6019 and the top 7500 at 1600 scored 5707, very very close. The difference could be drivers and all sorts of variables. All in all I would say the 7500 is the equal of a G2 Ti200 no doubt, but in some cases in gaming in open gl it may post fewer fps, but hands down it offers more features.

You can also do a search showing the top 7500 using a P4 up to 2.2 in XP vs a G2 Ti200 using the same and here the 7500 scores higher. So really it is a toss up, but I think you get better dvd hardware support and TV out features with a 7500.
