Time to replace 360mm AIO, go 420mm?

I think the pump in my 360mm AIO is starting to go or its getting kinda chunky in there, i'm not sure. Its old though. its been through 3 or 4 build/upgrade cycles so its not a huge loss.
Cant remember the exact model but its a NZXT no fancy lights or LCD screens on the pump. I've replaced the thermal paste on it and it still creeps up, last summer it would hover around mid 60's gaming with a fairly warm room and now its cooler in that same room with the case side off and its pushing 80.

before i get too far into it, its going to be strapped to a 7800 X3D on a Asrock B650E Taichi mainboard. At the moment its not overclocked....at the moment.

anyway if you saw my case thread i am looking to finish my major upgrades as to maybe last 4 years, ya know, just in case with out getting political.

I was thinking of going 420mm because why not, and i was also thinking of spending a little more on something of a little better quality. the NZXT was fine but there were some really cheap components about it.
I was also thinking of trying to find something that was all copper, so far i have only found AlphaCool AIOs with an all copper system. Its less about mixing metals, although if i keep it as long as i kept this one that could be a thing, but more about potential performance it may be diminishing returns between aluminum and copper but better is better. theres also a bling factor too even if its still all black.

i've noticed that some of the "better" AIOs are serviceable in such a way where not having mixed metals might be easier in the long run.

i donno what would you do?
would you even go 420mm or stick aith a 360mm?

i want to stick with a copper rad either way, are there any other big kits that are also all copper?
I've only found these:

and of course there are 360mm versions. i'm leaning twards the all black one, not a big fan of all of the lights. some is ok. but the 11774 has a higher static pressure (2.20 mm H2O)

I never liked these Alphacool AIOs. The non-pro version has been around for a couple of years, and it was mediocre when it was released.
Looking at what is good and reasonably priced recently, I would get Arctic Freezer III. However, I can't see a significant difference between 280 and 420. I have both, and with AMD or Intel rigs, CPUs boost up to the same clocks and manually OC the same too. Even if there is a difference in temps, then it doesn't matter. 280mm rads are usually about the same as 360mm. Arctic coolers include offset mount as standard, so they generally give you a few degrees better results on Ryzen (more like 0-3°C on most CPUs). I also have a better experience with Arctic fans than Alphacool.

The idea of an offset mount drives me crazy for some reason.

That reason being you should not have to offset anything, just engineer better.

It's not required. The same way as you don't have to delid or overclock at all. The offset gives 0-3°C as I mentioned before, when the temp under load is 90°C+. It's better to have it, but it really doesn't matter much. For me more annoying is that these coolers don't fit all motherboards. They should leave an option to use a regular mount or offset. 3 out of 5 motherboards that I first used with my Freezer III, had too close PCIe slot or too large heatsinks.
Btw. the Freezer III is compatible with the ASRock B650E Taichi mentioned in the first post.

I get it my man, some people swear by it.. not this guy though.. but to be fair I have not tried one.

You are a braver man than I.

i get the offset thing, its not about engineering honestly, amd and their ccd chiplet experiment thats honestly paying off.
anyway i dont know that i'd trust it but this is interesting looking:

Ahh... not using it. (I don't see 'parking' anywhere).

This is interesting though! Start a new thread for discussion so as not to steal this one's thunder. :)

I am not one much for recommending as individual likes and dislikes vary on the same item, but in this case I would second the Arctic Freezer III's. I got a black 360 for my new build using a I-9 12900k and it keeps it really cool idling around 20c for 16 cores. I had a Corsair for years on my old Devils canyon chip and it worked but not as well as this one. I think the 420 is the cheapest option right now so it might look good for you. It might not be to your liking because it isn't copper but the hardened copper used in radiators is actually less efficient then aluminum because of the arsenic added. The thinner aluminum allows for bigger tubes and better heat transfer between it and gas or liquids. Edit: I forgot to mention that the unit runs almost silent, it is under my desk but i cannot hear it at all.
