Time to upgrade

Hey I currently have an AMD 1800+ and am looking to upgrade to an intel, what are some good cpu's, I know almost nothing baout intel.

Pentium 4 "C" chips (D1 Stepping) 800MHz FSB w/ HT
2.4C / 2.6C / 2.8C / 3.0C
most have been doing good OC'ing so far

for boards
Abit IC7 / IC7-G and Asus P4C800 dlx / P4P800 dlx

What kind of budget are you talking about and what will the computer be used for? I'm assuming you want major performance or you'd just stay with your current system, therefore, listen to what Sangapski said.
