i just have a fanless heatsink, that burns me up! literally!

im gonna have to do something cause i play half life in 1024x768 in high detail and it has been crashing a lot. could heat be my problem or should i just stick with lower resolution?

Found my avatar on one of those free clip art sites, for the life of me I can't remember where.
Could be ur heat..try mounting a fan or two on ur TNT and see if it makes a difference.
I bought a radeon ve card with the dual monitor option. Installed it and found that half my games wouldn't run. Tried old and new drivers to no avail. Finally went back to my trusted TNT. Hasn't let me down yet.

what size fan will fit? i havent looked at it that closely. is it like 30 or 40mm? i have an old 50mm around here somewhere, the heatsink isnt that big but it could still work! :D

hey grey: who is the manufacturer of your TNT2? i was just contemplating why mine didnt come with a chip cooler on the hs. mine is a riva, whats yours?

oh yeah and do you like that duron 900? i have been thinking about an XP1800+ but those durons are just so cheap and i am just so damn poor. i got a new soltek SL-75DRV5 mobo but i have not a cpu to put on it. too bad the old K62 i have layin around here somewhere wont fit it! :burn: its a one wicked machine!

Forsa is the manufacturer of my TNT2. I'm still surprised that urs didn't have a fan on it.
I like the Durons myself, mainly because they are cheap and if I kill it I won't feel so bad 'cause it won't cost that much to replace.

53 DOLARS...dang I can't get a cpu for less than $100 bucks here. A duron 900 will cost me 125. Guess that's what I get for livin' North of 60 lol. Yeh I think u should go for it. At that price, if u can afford to toast it

it has the morgan core too so it will overclock very well. probably almost as good as an XP. plus the fact that i can afford to fry it will give me all the more reason to kick the **** out of a 1500+

he he :D

Lol..if u get it u'll have to let me know how it goes with the OCing..gotta call it an evening. Gonna take my machine apart. Ever since I put in the new mobo my idle temp is almost 10C higher than with my KT133. gonna move around the CD and HDDs and see if I can get better airflow. If not gonna pick up a couple of higher rated CFM fans tommorow and see if that makes a difference. Nite
