i was unsure of it. had a hard time looking for the type in the manual. i just saw "DVI-D" and i thought 24 pins would just be useful if the monitor is single channel. there was a single channel cable for the same price but i thought it's not "forwards" compatible with the dual link monitor so i got the dual link one.
