've just assembled an Athlon 900 on a MSI K7t turbo m/b with 256 apacer sdram housed in a mid-tower ATX casing with 300 watt powersupply .I'm using a Winglobal FOB 38 cpu fan. I'm also using a casing exhaust fan. However i noticed my cpu is heated to 54-63C while i see most peoples' cpu temp is around 40-50C. Is my system ok ? if not how to rectify this overheating of mine ? I've not overclocked the cpu yet which i think is dangerous at this moment. can anyone please help and advice please.btw i'm i'm stil using the v 2.40 bios.
Thanks.

ps Since this is a self assembled PC i can't get much help from most vendors....that's the sorry state of affairs here in this country

Are you using that "thermal pad" that comes on the bottom of the heatsink?

If you are, remove it, and put some thermal paste on.
