ok my problem is i have way way way to many molex connectors in my case.I was thinking of splicing all the fan wires together to illiminate some of them, but i don't know how safe it is or of any precautions i need to be aware of. I have like 4 molex "Y" splitters. I have most of the wires wrapped but it still loks really ugly having a bunch of big white connectors sticking out.

has anyone ever tried this? basically the only connectors i wanna see are the ones that plug directly into my devices.

also i want to make the wires as invisible as possible so i was thinking about lengthening some and running them along the borders of the case frame. will lengthening create any problems with things getting power?

i'll post a pic of my case later when i can find the disc they are on.

thanks,

Yes, I have done something similar. Be sure you use a fairly heavy gauge wire, I used 18 for most of what I did.

I highly recomend these tools, you can use a tiny screwdriver, but that is a pain:

The pins:

and the housings:

Having problems finding the housings, here are kits: https://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prmenbr=91&prrfnbr=3855&cgrfnbr=501&ctgys=
