Regarding the 9800 class of cards.

Go with the Pro, but only with 128mb of RAM, or non-Pro, with 256mb?

Well I like my 9800 pro 256 better than my old 128 version. (Had it for a week and returned it once I realized I could pay 10 bucks more...at the time...and get the 256 version)

There are only slight differences in the benchmarks between the 256 MB and 128 MB versions. It would kinda be interesting to see if Doom 3 could actually make use of 256 MB of video memory.

But those benchmarks prob. aren't using the 256mb of memmory.

i think i'd do the 256mb and OC it to ~9800pro speeds, or as far as it would go, personally
