My bong's finally up and running but the thing is NOISY! It sound like the combination of a showerhead left on and the constant draining of water in those public toilet urinals rather than that of a soothing waterfall (like some ppl's). Any ideas on acoustic control, fellas? I've placed some sponges to prevent the water spray from directly hitting the water surface and it's been working quite well but the whole system is still noisy.

My bong's actually a 13'' by 19'' by 12'' high rectangular plastic container with a lid (I've melted in some holes to take in fresh air and to exhaust humid air using two 80mm, 30cfm fans). A coil of 5/8'' hose glued to the bottom of the lid/cover has hundreds of 1/2'' lengthwise slits to give out sprays of water. Pump's a submersible 400gph@0 head but outputs 150gph due to head losses. The container's also a reservoir which is filled up to 4'' of water.
