I have a new system. Duron 750 @ 850 (right now) with a GlobalWin 32-I, 256 PC-133 RAM, and all the usual crap. I am thinking of getting one of those hard drive coolers with the heat sink for the hard drive (I have a IBM Deskstar 75 (45 gig). I am also wondering if I need a copper shim. I have my CPU fan on top of my ship (No paste, I have arctic silver paste but since it is conductive I'm not too sure about it, another question), but would it help to have a copper plate? And can I use it with my arctic silver paste? And where do I put the paste? I shouldn't connect the other bridges with it right? So I can't just goop it up, can I?

Thanks in advance.

I fried my old t-bird 800 using the pencil trick, a coppershim, a Alpha 6035 and Arctic silver. Only put the Arctic silvet on the top of the cpu!
