As a newbie I am reading lots and lots of posts, articles, reviews etc. I sense that DDR and 266 FSB are BIG evolutionary steps for computers. I want to build a computer but I don't want it to be obsolete in 2 years. Should I wait another couple of months for mobos that support the new stuff or build a box based on sdram and 200 fsb (this will be a gaming/family computer). I need the perspective a seasoned vet! Thanks,

well in my mind no matter what you choose it will be out dated in12-18 month`s any way

if you buy just behind the tech curve you will save alot of money and probably be able to build a nice machine.

from what ive read 133a chip set mother board with good memory will give a ddr board a run for the money!! and less exspensive

my next up grade probably will be a 133a mother board abit most likley very excited about the over clocking ability
