Hi all,
I am the not so proud owner of a Topgun Tx-Pro motherboard, that is DOA. I tried several different chips, and memory configs. But it's still dead as a door nail.
Any suggestions, I would like to use it. I traded a perfect 2.5 gig maxtor HD for it, and am a little POed That I can't get it to work.
Thanks.
And please no modern art suggestions. :)

Sorry to hear that you got the bad end of the deal.

The TX/VX Pro chips are of course, VIA made, and made specific to PC-Chips motherboards, which in essence are not good at all for performance, stability, or just for general use.

I have come across 4 of them in my life time, and only 1 made it through tests and use. This was in the day where a friend of mine and me use to buy garbage comp's 4 years ago from our old highschool auctions, then rebuild them, you can tell just how much the school spent on computer equipment, go figure. Mosly everyone had on OEM board like from Seanix or so or the PC-Chips boards, I use to see them get serviced just about everyday due to failure.

Oh well, live and learn. :)
