Lap the RBX if you want to, it's your call. If you think it needs lapping...go ahead.

There really shouldn't be much difference which way the setup runs. Do whatever uses the least tubing and/or is the simplest for your setup.
 
1. No need really.

2. Depends and it's been debated to death here. I believe it helps temps and It's my personal choice to do it this way. With that said - If it helps keep the hose routing short as possible, that will help.
 
2. Like the others have said, just configure it so the tube routing is as simple and short as possible.
