how cna i tell for sure if i have a UDMA 100 cable and with my HDD do i have to use the WD software to put it in UDMA 100? can i use the utility thta comes with my mobo drivers (Via Bus Master) or do it in bios? i have been unsuccesfull in getttin my HDD up to UDMA 100, but it dose make my CD-ROMs go to UDMA-33 help plz:D :eh?: :D
 
By the use of one 80 pin cable the drive will operate at the max speed automatically ..
All the modern drives do that ..

And there is no any ATA 66 and ATA 100 cables , there is only 80 pin cables (double shielded) or 40 pin cables (plain IDE) .
