Ive decided to go with an AMD Opteron 165 over the x2 so...

I need to make some changes... or so i think.

1)I need help finding a great mobo and ram to go with this puppy.
2)I will be overclocking it of course but i dont want it to be to much $$$.
3)Im thinking nVidia over ATI videocard wise
4)Anything else i should know or missed... im a little clueless for some reason.

Either DFI LP Ultra-D for $110 or DFI LP "Expert" Edition for $200. Both are the best OCing boards, with the Expert being the newly released one.

For 2x1GB ram, you'd want the best of the best for your Opteron, that would be the Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB for $290. It clocks really well at only 2.9v or so.

What kind of monitor are you running? If it supports over 1280x1024, then go for the 7800GTX. But if it only supports up to 1280x1024, go either with the 7800GT($300) or 6800GS($200) depending on your budget.

Alrighty. Ill look into those.

If i were to stick with ATI, whats your opinion on this DFI?
