My processor has a 200 mhz bus speed but the motherboard only has 100 or 133,the proc is at 8*100 but the mobo is at200 i think, im confused the bios wont let me change s***...peace

100Mhz is equal to 200Mhz since the Northbridge communicates with the CPU in a fashion which is called double pumping. The Northbridge then communicates with the memory at 100Mhz.

My PC has an FSB of 184Mhz which is how fast the memory runs, however the CPU-Northbridge is 2*184Mhz.

In a similar fashion the Pentium 4 has a 400Mhz Quad Pumped bus, but only has an fsb of 100Mhz.

I hope that this clears things up a little.

The 200 mhz refers to the internal clock speed of the CPU which is a double pumped fsb ( 2 x 100 ) and therefore runs on 100 mhz FSB likewise the 266 AMD CPU's ( 2x133) run on a 133 mhz FSB which is double pumped internally.

i have a Soyo K7AIA-2AA2, AMD Athlon...I also have a VooDoo 3 3000 AGP...2x 100 front side bus...and 800 mhz...why wount it let me overclock!?!?

I would guess (not knowing details on your SOYO mobo) that the BIOS and/or mobo does not support CPU multiplier and/or FSB modification.

Andy and Menace just explained it what more help do you need? you have a 100mhz ddr bus wich is efectivly 200 mhz so they call it 200 mhz, nuff said
