Got a locked 2500 ordered on 12/17 from Newegg. If they do still have unlocked chips, I'll sorely be ****ed and might consider a complaint.

In Brazil they still have some AQXEAs 0331 Y XPMW to sell out in the local eBay. They are costing around 100 US dollars. Just got mine and it is now working @ 2300MHz with 1.7V in a KT333 mobo. Need some time to install my brand new NF7-S and make this baby cry.

The mobile chips aren't locked (yet). I just overclocked a mobile 2500 from newegg (10x200) for my sister's computer.

Getting an unlocked CPU from newegg is like guessing a number from the roll of a die. You won't know until you receive your CPU. Their customer service won't be able to provide you the stepping code because the product is shipped from a warehouse, maybe from a different state. The only sure way of getting an unlock CPU is by buying thru EBAY. I got my 1800 DLT3C JIHUB for $50 on Ebay. Make sure that the seller has a good rating and ask him/her for the stepping code before you buy one. If the seller does not provide the stepping code, don't bid from him. He could be selling a palomino to you.
