unlocking a duron?

Is it after the 1.1 GHz Duron the pencil trick stopped working or will a pencil do the trick on 1.2 Ghz as well?

1.1 and 1.2 pencil trick works. 1.3 doesn't unlock 13X multiplier screws things up.

They all unlock with the pencil trick. Many boards do not support 5-bit FID, and so use a bit to remap multipliers, meaning that on the 1.3, you will only have 12.x and up, and on the others you will have 12x and below.

ah okay.. I'm probably going to buy one of these babies for a server computer and I will probably not overclock other than raising fsb speed.. so it'd be nice to be able to unlock them rather easily..

so you're saying both 1.2 and 1.3 will work.. great.. I thought at least the 1.3's had to be unlocked with filling some pits and such (palomino style) .. oh well.. might as well get the 1.3 GHz then..

None of the Durons have the XP style pits, so the pencil trick should work dandy.
